The ongoing murder case involving the death of a hip hop super-star that shocked the nation last year February,will be back in a Durban court in August this year, according to country’s prosecutors on behalf of the government.
This followed a lengthy process of bail application by 5 men from KZN province who were arrested early this year in connection with the murder, initially it was thought that AKA was shot along with his bodyguard on the Friday night outside a Durban restaurant,but it later emerged it was his industry friend,a celebrity chef Tibz.
These people are five in total,aged from 29;30;35;36 and the youngest being a 21-year Siyanda Myeza. ‘ …the five were denied bail with the court saying it would be reckless and irresponsible to release the applicants out on bail ‘ .

The bail application of these suspects catched the eye when the cops told the court that these suspects are linked to KZN contractual killing heatless murderers known as izinkabi who would kill anyone anywhere just for money,it is alleged that AKA’s head price may have caused close to R1-m ,each men had a payday of not more than R180k the following day, distributed via banking channels amongst each by one of the suspects pointed in court,how a 21 year old could turn into a murderer is an interesting story to be visited upon , their target was AKA but an astray bullet hit Tibz who was in a close vicinity during the incident,the cops are sure and at least a CCTV shows the gun was held against AKAs head it a hit&run style.
These men are accused of carrying heavy guns and ammunition which are all illegal in their reign of terror around KZN and maybe beyond,not only is AKA and Tibz families in tears about the actions of these people but many,the cops told the court.

At the time, the Gcaba brothers name showed up again as owners of a taxi fleet and buses around KZN and Gauteng,and that they had an under-hand on the deadly riots that followed Msholozi’s short-lived jail-hand over,but it was Fikile Mbalula Mr Razz Mattazz himself,who published a purported media statement,with what looks to be a family emblem,the statement read that it was from the Gcaba brothers and they were denying allegations of an under-hand in the deadly riots which the Human Rights Commission reports that it had nothing to do with Baba Msholozi.
The Gcaba brothers have no online presence or contact listing, as opposed to what is expected to high business profiles doing business with the government and providing public transport to millions of commuters in the country,so questions such as where did Mr Razz Mattazz himself get the statement from,which in itself did not list any contact reference,are inevitable but answers remains a mystery, again this magazine did recently get in touch with Mandela’s party in Luthuli House,to try and understand the links of their secretary Mr Razzmatazz to the notorious Gcaba brothers,proved to be a mystery,a communication man for the ANC did clearly acknowledge our query but refused to give answers.
The star-sytem followers also watched in mindful,another turn of events the last week,when Mr Razzmatazz stormed into a poverty stricken community which is also dodge by a daylight violent crime where residents find themselves in a cross roads of flying bullets, Razzmatazz splashed with expensive cars, one of which is a G-Wagon,and promised the people some promises,in turn if they vote for Mandela’s party.That G-Wagon which is a luxury one causing millions of Rands,it turned out that it is bullet-proof,and it belongs to the late AKA’s bodyguard,not even AKA did ride in a bullet proof car even in a province where he was warned he will die,why did the bodyguard provide such for Razzmatazz it remains unknown,the bodyguard who told Johann Rupert’s eNCA that in suggestions,that AKA did know follow his protocol as he was facing threats,is also currently entangled in a fraud scandal involving university qualifications,but Gwede Mantashe,who battles the name of “Tiger-in-a-bed” ,a sex scandal where the married ANC heavyweight was having sex with a varsity young woman in exchange for money and gift,told reporters that those with concern over Razzmatazz ride in a luxury car that is bullet proof to a crime vulnerable community,they can go ride on “donkies”,donkies are not a mode of transport in Mzansi but are common in rural poor communities where the municipality fail to provide basic service delivery, normally there,these people “ride on donkies” to go fetch water in rivers,in some instances it is alleged that they drink water from the same rivers with the animals like donkies and cows
Other remaining suspects in the case are still held in Swaziland, waiting to be brought to Mzansi, countries like Swaziland and other neighbourers thought to be poor,respond with strong condemnation against criminal suspects,what led to these five being arrested finally after so many months after AKA’s death,is believed to be the arrest of those in Swaziland,the SAPS acted in hours to arrest those in Mzansi in order to avoid a public humiliation that another country is doing their job. On the 8th of August when the case returns in Durban,it is when clearity will be expected to be heard on the fate of those held in Swaziland as it can’t be imagined that the cases can be separately trialed.
